Searching for and locating one of the many draft beer refridgerators can be a time consuming and frustrating procedure, especially if you are not too sure of what you are looking at. Just to complicate matters further there are many options to choose from, so below I have briefly covered three choices with different individual needs.
Firstly we have mini draft beer refridgerators which are ideal for small basement bars and the like also if you do have a home bar and are the sort of person that is a light drinker these are fine. Besides being ideal for a bar they are also great to have if you live in say a small studio apartment where space could be limited. If you do have a bar at home and feel that getting through a keg of beer within a few months is beyond you, then one of these would be ideal.
Next up are the full sized draft beer refridgerators and I’m not suggesting here that because you might need a full size beer refridgerator you’re a heavy drinker. You could have a good sized basement bar and be the type of person that likes to have regular get togethers and other social gatherings. Either way if you are expecting a number of guests on a regular occasion this is the one to go for providing that is you have adequate space in your home bar.
Thirdly and if you are in the early stages of first thinking of having a basement bar then you may have heard of kegerators and thought now they sound interesting but what is one. Quite simply these are draft beer refridgerators and a beer dispensing device that will keep your keg of beer nicely chilled. Basically they are a small refridgerated container where you can store a tapped keg for usually a couple of months without losing the quality taste of your beer. On a final note if you happen to have a refridgerator or indeed a freezer standing idle it is possible to purchase a kegorator conversion kit.
